Training
We offer a range of training courses around tackling prejudice and discrimination, providing services which are welcoming to LGBT people and developing effective policies around LGBT issues which are suitable for statutory, voluntary and community and private organisations. We deliver courses at the Centre which are open to all and can also offer training to individual organisations or groups, either at the Centre or at your place of work.
Our training packages include basic awareness courses which are suitable for members of staff in any organisation, alongside specialised training targeted at specific job roles or sectors (eg. housing, healthcare, etc). Consultancy
Leicester Lesbian Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Centre exists to challenge homophobia and Transphobia and educate the wider community on the needs of the LGBT community. To this end we provide a range of support and consultancy services to all organisations in Leicestershire.
We can provide support to assist your understanding of equality legislation in relation to sexuality, help develop policy and procedures to recognise LGBT people, offer advice on the needs of LGBT people when developing services, offer support to challenge homophobia and Transphobia in an organisation and provide signposts to other relevant supporting information.
