Welcome to the Leicester Lesbian Gay Bisexual & Transgender Centre's Youth Service

Leicester Lesbian, Gay Bisexual & Transgender Centre employs a dedicated team of staff with extensive expertise in dealing with issues around sexuality in young people and homophobic bullying. We have a wide range of services aimed at young people aged 13-19, including...

ANTI HOMOPHOBIC AND TRANSPHOBIC BULLYING SUPPORT

We work with local schools and youth organisations to support young people who are being bullied. We also offer advice to schools, groups and clubs on tackling homophobia and transphobia and can provide specialised training for teachers, youth workers and group leaders.

Homophobic and transphobic bullying is a problem that is potentially damaging to many young people, whether or not they identify as being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered (LGBT). Homophobic and transphobic bullying can (and does) happen anywhere but young people are particularly vulnerable whilst at school.

IF YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM BULLYING OR HOMOPHOBIC AND TRANSPHOBIC ABUSE, EITHER AT SCHOOL, HOME OR OUT ON THE STREETS DON'T SUFFER IN SILENCE. CONTACT US IN CONFIDENCE:

Call the Leicester LGB Helpline on 0116 2550667 (alternative Tuesdays and every Thursday 7.30 - 10.00pm).
